Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing all dental field sales activities within a specific territory. This requires regular consultative contact with every account in a designated territory to build merchandise, equipment, technology, and service sales with existing customers and a heavy emphasis on obtaining new customers.

Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develop, manage, and increase Merchandise, Equipment, Technology, and Service Sales in a specific territory as defined by Regional Manager, this requires face to face consultative contact with every customer.

  • Plan, organize, and implement effective strategies using all company programs, tools and initiatives to increase market share in Merchandise, Equipment, Technology, and Service.

  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with Regional Manager and perform activities with customers as directed.

  • Attend all sales meetings, dental conventions, seminars, and Career Development training programs as instructed by Regional Manager.

  • Respond in a professional fashion to customer concerns, executing follow up actions to ensure customer issues/opportunities are communicated to appropriate HSD departments.

  • Maintain accountability for adherence to company and divisional organization policies and procedures.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards.

  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

Physical Activities: This position will be working in an office environment, utilizing typical office equipment. Also works in all areas of designated territory traveling from office to office via personal vehicle. Some travel required.

Experience

At least 2 years of prior sales-related experience required.

Knowledge and Skills

Desired skills include: sales knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and project management skills

Other

Valid driver's license required.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Position * Full time local sales consultant position responsible for servicing a group of accounts as outlined in the Master Route to improve account conditions and overall sales performance Essential Duties & Responsibilities Sales Performance * Grow total territory volume and revenue versus the prior year and achieve the company growth objectives. * Achieve monthly objectives on priority brands, specified programs and qualitative initiatives. * Maintain standard for display percentage, distributions, cold box share, cross merchandising, promotions, and programs in assigned territory. * Generate positive business relationships with decision makers in assigned accounts. * Present prepared, professional, persuasive, fact-based, personalized sales presentations. * Develop and maintain good product knowledge on relative GLWAS products. * Demonstrate initiative to grow overall spirits, beverage, and category knowledge. Merchandising and Store Conditions * Demonstrate competency of account 'Standards of Performance' through account conditions. * Enhances pull through with proper use of promotional materials and services. * Maintain product so that it is clean, rotated, and saleable. * Post retail pricing in a timely manner, while ensuring accuracy. * Ensure point-of-sale is accurate, relevant, up-to-date, and advantageously placed. Territory Management * Correctly runs route on a daily basis according to Master Route. * Maintains and uses control books, display installation forms, distribution targets, and pre-plans to execute priorities. Administrative Performance * Consistently services accounts as outlined on Master Route. * Utilizes control book, planners, and tracking forms as instructed to execute priorities. * Communicates proactively with customers and management. * Aligns daily activities to the needs and priorities of the company, as directed. * Collaborates with sales team and division by being a contributor. * Utilizes samples efficiently and effectively. * Ensures vehicle is clean, organized, properly stocked with adequate point-of-sale Qualifications * Minimum age 21 * High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred or 2 years' sales experience * Basic competency with basic iOS devices * Pass a pre-employment background check * Pass a drug test at any time during employment * Follow all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position * Maintain a safe driving record * Must be able to lift 55 pounds Work Environment This position operates in the field, with daily travel, driving in all types of weather. Time is also spent in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment. Work environment will vary based on account stops. Physical Demands * This is a very active position. The employee must frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop and climb throughout the day. * The employee must frequently lift, carry, and/or move up to 55 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds of force on a cart; frequently ascend and descend stairs. * The employee is regularly required to read and communicate in English. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
