Function: Environmental, Health & Safety Job Summary: The Field Safety Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day support to Operations and Maintenance by implementing specific H&S programs, providing coaching, conducting observations, and providing feedback to personnel at the Waggaman Ammonia facility. Job Description:

The Field Safety Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day support to Operations and Maintenance by implementing specific H&S programs, providing coaching, conducting observations, and providing feedback to personnel at the Waggaman Ammonia facility. Job Responsibilities: Complete review and oversight of all new H&S initiatives ensuring compliance with existing H&S standards.

Consult on high-risk field permitting activities and serve as subject matter expert for safety related field activities. Conduct meetings, routine safety tours, and field safety audits. Conduct safety training and education programs.

Assess (safety) risk exposure and lead development of appropriate controls. Collect and assess data on Health and Safety (EHS) program effectiveness. Regularly survey operations and Maintenance personnel to identify areas of concern or improvement for H&S programs.

Identify and highlight contributions to H&S programs and culture made by local personnel. Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns to the supervision. Participate in incident investigations.

Job Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. A minimum of 5-year experience in operations. 1-year experience in Occupational Safety & Health or relevant discipline or a safety specialist designation are desirable attributes for this role.

Health and safety standards: Demonstrated knowledge in health, safety, and hygiene standards. Identify hazards in the workplace:

Experience with safety audits and inspections on workplaces and workplace equipment. Ensure that they meet safety policies and identify hazards and risks. Risk prevention and management:

Knowledge of risk prevention strategies as well as risk assessment and mitigation applications to field activities. Investigations: Familiar with conducting incident investigations using interviewing techniques and root cause analysis. Coaching and training:

Using effective verbal communication skills to coach others; developing and delivering training to diverse audiences. Sound judgement and decision making: Considers the long- and short-term implications of potential actions and their impacts to choose the most appropriate course.
