Precision Industrial is looking to add a full-time Field Safety Representative to our team who will focus primarily on Project and Employee safety. Main responsibilities entail presence on jobsites, identifying and correcting potential hazards, performing job inspections, implementing new safety policies, and investigation of accidents and injuries. Working as a Safety Representative for PIC requires an analytical and detail-oriented eye to catch any safety hazards, a strong and independent sense of judgement, the ability to be firm and hold people accountable, and a passion for ensuring the safety of fellow coworkers.
Responsibilities:
Be the onsite project Safety Representative to ensure Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance is met.
Identify and correct potential hazards
Assist the Safety Manager with administrative tasks
Routine jobsite inspections, including facilities, tooling, machinery, and safety equipment.
Initiate, perform, and document jobsite inspections and audits with special emphasis on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and correction of potential third party, asset loss and workers compensation losses. This necessitates the ability to think independently,
Assist the Safety Manager with Formulation and implementation of policies, procedures and programs that relate to construction safety and comply with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
Coordinate and conduct daily safety meetings and training programs to ensure the effective communication of PIC policies.
Ensure Project Safety Work Plans and Safety Task Assessments are followed.
Coordinate and support the development and review of Safety Task Assessments for each major phase of our work to ensure its safe completion.
Assist in investigation of all incidents (injuries, property damage, near misses) to determine the safety system(s) that failed and help develop corrective actions to its resolution.
Work with the Safety Manager to develop and update plans for emergency procedures.
Any other environmental, health and safety responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in a related field
1-3 years of experience in a Construction/Manufacturing Safety role
Strong understanding and commitment to Safety
Accident investigation capabilities/experience
Strong regulatory knowledge in federal, state, and local regulations and standards to include OSHA, and FMCSA
Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems with minimal supervision
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Ability to travel to different worksites and corporate HQ
Benefits:
Starting wage ranges from $30 to $35 hourly but is subject to change based on experience
