Field Safety Manager Position Description:

Position: Field Safety Manager:
As the Field Safety Manager, you will serve as a cornerstone in on-site safety leadership, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety excellence within our operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate safety and health programs in compliance with company, regulatory, and client requirements, particularly focusing on pipeline integrity projects.
Provide guidance and training to personnel on safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure comprehensive compliance.
Conduct regular site safety inspections, followed by detailed recommendations for corrective actions.
Actively respond to emergencies and lead incident investigations when necessary.
Fulfill additional duties as directed by management.
Essential Functions:
Conduct facility and job site audits, support supervision in incident reporting, and lead incident investigations as required.
Deliver comprehensive new hire orientations encompassing safety training and review of company/client standards.
Actively participate in client and internal project meetings, offering valuable safety insights.
Manage safety documentation including daily reports, training records, and incident-related materials.
Provide coaching to address identified hazardous conditions and behaviors among personnel and management.
Cultivate a positive attitude and champion the company's culture and objectives.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in safety management, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
Possession of OSHA 30 certification.
Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field (preferred).
Certified Safety Practitioner (CSP) or similar accreditation (preferred).
OSHA 500 certification (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, demonstrating adaptability and creative problem-solving abilities.
Proven track record of conducting training sessions on various safety topics.
This position is subject to Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
