Candidate Specification

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 5 to 10 years of pipeline field engineering experience in one or more of the following project types: natural gas pipeline, facilities, liquids, transmission, gathering, midstream and treatment

  • Proficiency in the following skills required:

  • Pipeline route, workspace, access and site selection

  • Constructability

  • Proposed construction methods for highway/road, railroad, wetland, water body, utility, and other challenging crossings

  • Construction management, inspection, engineering, and survey coordination skills preferred

  • Professional certification or designation would be an asset

  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise

  • Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places with a full range of motion and flexibility is required

  • May be required to walk in forested and cultivated areas. Will be required to be outdoors from time to time in various weather conditions. Must possess manual dexterity with the physical ability to work in situations which require bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting/carrying items up to thirty (30) pounds. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Protective eyewear, gloves, mask) and other safety equipment required by the company guidelines and procedures.

Job Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Produce high-quality work that meets the requirements of company policies, procedures, industry standards, and client expectations

  • Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered and take corrective actions as needed

  • Read and understand plans and specifications and have the ability to visualize two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions

  • Develop complete understanding of contract drawings and specifications

  • Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and research drawings for preparation of a Request for Information

  • Perform quantity take-offs from drawings for purchasing of materials or for planning and scheduling work

  • Perform quantity surveys of excavated or installed materials for purpose of progress and productivity

  • Prepare as-built drawings to include field measurements and drafting.

VIEW JOBS 2/1/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-01T00:00 Job summary: With about 67,500 miles of pipeline, our field operators keep our extensive systems flowing and connect hundreds of wells to our gathering system. Our operators monitor the integrity and compression flows of our system. Day to day: Minimize downtime and provide producers with excellent support. Daily duties are various including line locating, pigging, pipeline maintenance, compressor maintenance/shut downs, electrical maintenance and resolving problems in a timely manner. What you will be responsible for: * Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a gathering system area (including compressor stations) to minimize downtime, provide producers with the lowest possible gathering system pressures and timely response to producer complaints * Coordinates system shutdowns (new connects, leak repairs, etc.), line pressure maintenance (pigging, balling, drip removal) and lock out/tag out * Responsible for starting/stopping compressors, equipment checks, preventive maintenance on engines, and certain repairs to engines and engine compressors * Performs minor electrical/instrumentation maintenance and repair Requirements: * High school degree or GED * Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record * Must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs. * Currently live, or be willing to relocate, to within 35 miles of work location.
