Job Overview:

Partner with assigned customers to ensure they have the right products at the right time in the right placement.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Orders products that align with the needs of the customer. Follows through on customer product requests.

  • Displays store products, rotates stock and removes out of code product. Ensures the neat and orderly appearance of UNFI products.

  • Maintains effective business relationships with customers and arrives promptly at customer locations on assigned route for service. Responsible for product and/or delivery notification to customers.

  • Processes merchandise returns and issues credits according to company policy.

  • Assists in hanging shelf tags and promotional POS/POP materials and resets.

  • Sells promotional and sales programs as assigned.

  • Performs duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.

  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.

  • Provides backup for other field sales representatives when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent related experience.

  • Valid driver's license necessary, as well as auto insurance levels that meet UNFI requirements.

  • Prior customer service experience in a retail setting.

  • Ability to get in and out of car multiple times per day.

  • Drive to and from accounts safely in city, rural and expressway conditions.

  • Ability to set up displays, fixtures, shelving and products.

  • Able to tolerate exposure to store and warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust and dirt. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

VIEW JOBS 3/25/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-23T00:00 The AmeriCorps VISTA member, in collaboration with the Director of Equity, Access, and Community for the STEM Education Center at WPI play an essential role in building systems that help to ensure equitable access for all youth. The VISTA project seeks to partner with the Central MA STEM Network Ecosystem to develop resources to create equitable job shadow experiences for youth who have historically been excluded from STEM. They will also work to engage authentic PK-12 student voice in creating equitable STEM opportunities for low-income youth. In addition, they will develop systems - including databases, reporting mechanisms, and resources - to ensure that WPI is able to both self-assess to make sure they are supporting Worcester youth from these historically excluded identities in STEM as well as helping the WPI community to have resources on how to engage the Worcester community from an asset-based collaborative standpoint. The biweekly living allowance for this position is $542.22 in Worcester County, MA. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide the following: partial or full rent support, campus meal plan and fitness center pass, free parking, conference attendance and other professional development opportunities.
