TechFlow's Platform Services Division is seeking a Field Quality Manager to support checked baggage maintenance at US airports in the North Western States. Reporting into the Director of Field Optimization & Quality, this position promotes quality standards, while actively driving process improvements to increase reliability, decrease overhead, and provide rapid escalation resolution ensuring compliance and integrity. This is a hands-on customer service position working with regionally local customers and subcontractor personnel.

Expected Travel: 50-75% travel required within a defined region


  • Serves as a quality liaison between Field Quality Director, TSA airport management and airport stakeholders. Ensure consistent compliance to contract regulations. Provides support to field operations in achieving division goals while complying with regulatory requirements and driving quality.

  • Develops and fosters a philosophy of continuous improvement across the region. Implements and consistently promotes the philosophy that compliance in quality, safety and training is essential to successful operations.

  • Work closely and provide direct oversight to the OEM field team to audit the performance of CM and PM implementation, drive the PM schedule, approach, and quality, and improve program performance. Analyzes data for deviation from contract requirements while trending data for systemic issues and develop effective preventive actions.

  • Prepares, edits, and revises procedures and policies based on needed process improvements and/or changes in regulatory requirements.

  • Drives Communication up and down the organization. Builds relationships that support and encourage participation and innovation in creating problem solving strategies that enable the region to meet contractual objectives. Prepare briefings and present complex technical information to technical and nontechnical audiences.

  • Identify and nurture both cost savings and revenue opportunities.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred but combinations of education and work experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years' experience in Field Management, Logistics, Quality and/or Data Analytics is strongly preferred.

  • Experience managing field support personnel to ensure program performance requirements are met while providing customer service as the POC for issue resolution.

  • Proficiency with maintenance ticketing systems and ability to monitor data quality compliance.

  • Experience collecting, analyzing and organizing data to identify and drive preferred results.

  • Ability to exhibit clarity, confidence and accuracy when discussing projects and technologies.

  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with TSA airport management, stakeholders and TechFlow quality staff to continuously develop, monitor and evaluate progress.

  • Self-motivated with ability to perform effectively and accurately under pressure while demonstrating a strong desire to beat expectations.

  • Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent writing skills.

  • Experience with airport baggage screening operations is highly desired.

The Field Manager will be based out of a home location, and will travel between other units as needed. The Field Manager will work directly alongside Food Division colleagues while ensuring each Starbucks or food operation is professional, safe and profitable following all Macy's and/or Starbucks operational standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: Home Unit: * Follows and ensure team follows Food Division Standards and Best Practices. * Create inspired moments in each customer's day. * Responsible for ensuring service standards are met. * Responsible for daily operations. * Accountable for sales, expenses, and bottom-line profits. * Monitor food quality by completing Macy's or Starbucks checklists. * Demonstrate a positive role model for Macy's or Starbucks steps of service. * Support a strong working relationship with store management. * Provide on-going training, feedback, coaching, and staff motivation to all associates to maximize team performance and satisfaction. * Maintain role model standards in grooming, professional appearance and communications. * Meet highest standards of workplace safety, sanitation, and equipment care as set by Health Department and company policy. * Complete scheduling and weekly payroll to meet Macy's or Starbucks standards, maximize associate productivity, labor cost control and customer satisfaction. * Utilize forecasts, daily sales reports and weekly food cost and payroll reports to ensure monthly profit/loss goals are met. * Assist in preparation and production of all menu items. * Responsible for ordering and receiving food, beverage, dry and paper goods based budget and needs of the business. * Completes timely payment of invoices according to vendor contracts and Food Division Best Practices. * Responsible for food inventories following Inventory Best Practices to ensure they are taken on a timely and accurate basis to ensure targeted food and liquor costs are maintained. * Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Field Units: * Provides direct or indirect supervision of all Macy's or Starbucks Executive and Hourly leaders. * Completes Food Manager Training and becomes certified as a Food Manager Trainer. * Completes Visit Assessments following Food Division Best Practices. * Provide on-going training, feedback, coaching and staff to Food Division or Starbucks Supervisors to maximize team performance and satisfaction. * Ensure staffing and schedules meet Macy's or Starbucks standards and budget. * Responsible to ensure Home Unit and Field Units are meeting sales, expense and profit plan. * Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Starbucks-Specific Essential Functions (If Applicable): * Ensure team prepares and presents drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar and pastry products to Starbucks standards. * Follows Starbucks merchandising, product presentations and signing standards. * Follows up on all Starbucks assessments to ensure brand standards are met. * Support a strong working relationship with store management and Starbucks District Manager. * Ensure Starbucks LS Training expectations are met. Qualifications: Education/Experience: * College degree and previous hospitality/coffee/food service supervisory/management experience is preferred. * Safe food handling certification is required. Communication Skills: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports, procedure manuals and recipes. Mathematical Skills: * Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. * Understanding of P&L statements, food costs and payroll budgets. Reasoning Ability: * Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Must be able to anticipate and solve problems. Physical Demands: * This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking. * May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. * Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. * Must be able to move and/or lift at least 30 lbs. * This position is exposed to high levels of heat within an enclosed space.
