Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that quality control processes and procedures meet all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations. This is a temporary position. Travel or relocation required.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

  • Ensures that all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced; responsible for safety on site.

  • Ensures that all Nicholson quality standards are met.

  • Perform overall quality control of the work and report regularly to PM.

  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

  • Prepares submittals.

Education & Training:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of QC Experience

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of bidding and job costing procedures.

  • Knowledgeable in structural and geotechnical designs related to our techniques.

  • Knowledge in use of sales lead software.

  • MS Word, Excel and Outlook relative to reporting site construction and engineering activities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, pull and push at least 40 pounds.

  • Travel per the company travel policy, often overnight and away from home.

Mental Requirements:

  • Converse effectively using both verbal and written communication.

  • Make decisions and assume accountability.

  • Concentrate on tasks.

  • Demonstrate ability to manage stress and emotions as related to the workplace.

  • Identify and resolve conflict.

  • Assess safety and risk.
