Overview
We are currently hiring in our Electrical Division, specifically for a Project Engineer!
Project Engineers assist with the management of construction projects to ensure that the projects are done safely, within schedule, and on budget, in accordance with the plan and specifications of the project. This position will provide support to the Superintendents and Project Managers by performing routine daily activities and assisting in gathering and distributing information to team members.
This position will require travel which will include overnight stays, field visits, and office trailer visits.
This position will consist of 90% in the field and 10% in office (approximately)
Anticipated Work Environment: The majority of tasks are conducted onsite, within job trailers and in secluded areas.
Travel Requirements: This role entails weekly travel, with the expectation of overnight stays dictated by the job location.

Responsibilities
Participate in the development of the project estimates & associated negotiations
Work with the safety department to develop site specific safety plans
Work with the Superintendents to obtain & setup the required yard & office equipment
Develop & accurately update the project schedules
Submit weekly reports to the owner containing project statuses, schedule updates, safety reports, two-week look ahead, dispositions regarding outstanding and potential pending change orders
Maintain communications with all members of the construction team including the owner & its representatives, the inspection team, subcontractors & any other stakeholders involved
Forecast project Cost to Complete & present findings to executives on a monthly basis
Determine & track change order conditions & submit to owner for approval & billing
Prepare a set of red line As-Built drawings for the owner's archive
Closeout project when complete
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent, preferably with PG&E and/or Utilities
Possesses strong written & verbal communications skills & manages time effectively
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite, required
Blue Beam experience, required
Detail oriented with a positive attitude & eagerness to learn
Ability to maintain a valid driver's license
Must be able to pass standard background and drug screening
Ability and willingness to travel to job-sites for daily visits or extended assignments based on project needs
Working Environment/Physical Demands
Work is performed at project sites, in an office and/or trailer
Work could be performed frequently outdoors in weather conditions that vary from below freezing temperatures to heat above 90 degrees, in wet and dry conditions and in rural areas. Some exposure to odors, gases, dust and dirt may occur. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
Pay- $ 72,000 - $ 98,000 /Annually *Depending on Experience
