ABOUT THIS ROLE We are seeking a Field Plumbing Manager to build and execute our new plumbing services division. Once established, the Field Plumbing Manager will hire and lead a team of plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of residential and commercial jobs.

The manager routinely works with other division management and the general manager to ensure Company goals and objectives are met. WHAT YOU’LL DO Lead staff members with install, repair and maintain plumbing. Schedules, directs, and provides technical support for plumbers to meet service demands and customers’ expectations.

Manage day to day activities of plumbers in the areas of performance, quality standards, techniques and safety requirements, policy compliance, training, and mentoring. Recruit, interview, hire, and train plumbers as required to meet workload demands, and company or customer expectations and requirements. Communicate regularly with dispatch to assess and adjust labor capacity in order to support customer demand and business needs.

Develop and monitor budgets, revenue and margin goals and departmental objectives. Review work orders, invoices and time reports to insure profitability. Work alongside HVAC Service Manager to support lead generation, promotes cross-selling of HVAC and electrical services, develops maintenance agreements, and estimates and generates bids for larger plumbing projects.

Manage larger installation, start-up, and commissioning projects; coordinate and direct a team of technicians and/or installing contractors; perform prestart-up inspections and completes turnover of equipment to owner. Keep current with latest training on current products and coordinates technician training. Perform other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations.

REQUIRED SKILLS Five years Plumbing Management related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years leadership experience with proven ability to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced In-depth knowledge and understanding of Plumbing trades and the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to Plumbing systems. Prior experience in sales and/or customer service is a plus Teamwork – Creates a work environment that supports cooperation and productivity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Physical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate hand and power-driven tools and equipment commonly used in the field.
  
  Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Ability to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions. Ability to maintain balance working off the ground using ladders, scaffolds, and/or mechanical lifts.
  
  Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work in high, precarious places. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work outside; exposed to heat and cold.
  
  Ability to see and read with or without vision aids. Ability to hear and speak to exchange information. Ability to see in order to perform maintenance duties and read blueprints, drawings and specifications.
