Ferus requires a Field Operator to perform duties associated with coordinating the movement of product to and from locations, as well as the operation of Ferus equipment on location, to ensure customer programs are completed as efficiently as possible and on schedule. Field Operators are responsible for ensuring Ferus policies and safety standards are maintained and adhered to all times.
Ensure correct environmental and safety practices are performed and upheld on Ferus sites.
A clear understanding of how all CNG field equipment operates, and can set-up the CNG equipment for different customer demands.
Ensure CNG equipment preventative and breakdown maintenance is performed to meet Ferus standards.
Educate non-Ferus personnel on Ferus equipment operating procedures and ensure safety policies are followed at all times.
Establish strong working relationships with customers and service company personnel.
Work with onsite representatives to resolve any onsite concerns.
Accident response and coordination.
Deliver outstanding customer service to current and future clients.
Assist in new facility commissioning and existing facility project additions or expansions.
Gather, interpret production data and rates, evaluate performances, recommend, determine and implement appropriate course of action.
Perform minor electrical/instrumentation and mechanical maintenance repairs.
Work with craft personnel to ensure any equipment/system problems are resolved in a timely manner.
Create procedures, identify deficiencies and recommend correction to existing procedures to ensure the assigned field meets performance standards.
Various other duties as assigned.
Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Willing to travel as needed.
Experience with natural gas compression, refrigeration system operations, pipeline operations and CNG experience would be considered an asset.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Skilled trades certification in Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical would be considered an asset.
Basic computer skills, including skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
