Position Title: Field Operations Technician

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting interdepartmental objectives, to include preventative and remedial maintenance, lighting and monitoring and building and ground upkeep, and installation, optimization and integration of network hardware and interconnect facilities. Other responsibilities include maintaining and repairing all DAS and microwave equipment and transmitters; maintaining site and test equipment inventories; network integrity and quality; updating daily logs with site specific information; composing clear and concise reports for system documentation; and performing audits as required by local, District, Area, Corporate or Regulatory agencies. Shows a concern for the quality of data about CCIC's assets and completes the collection and maintenance of data about the physical assets to ensure an accurate, up-to-date database of these assets.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure structural integrity and regulatory compliance for all assigned assets.

  • Perform periodic inspections in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures. Identify and ensure that major inspection discrepancies are reported to management, corrected in a timely manner and that the field data they collect is entered into Crown Castle's systems.

  • Collect physical asset data in an efficient and cost-effective manner and follow standards related to getting this data into the database. Review data associated with assigned sites on a regular basis and report errors or discrepancies to management.

  • Work effectively cross-functionally to identify and resolve compliance issues. Respond quickly and effectively to resolve NOTAM, monitoring system and network performance issues in accordance with company established policies, standards and procedures.

  • Comply with and perform quality assurance programs as required.

  • Keep Tower Operations Manager well informed regarding operational and maintenance issues associated with their assigned sites.Maintain and communicate a site problem list within trouble ticketing system including the resolution plans for each.

  • Maintain documentation and maintenance records for each assigned facility.

  • Monitor and report material usage in order to maintain adequate truck supplies.

  • Provide immediate support service during emergency issues and incident response situations.


  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Associates degree, two-year technical degree or equivalent military/special electronics training experience strongly preferred

  • A valid driver's license required

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields: telecommunications, two-way radio, paging, or microwave radio is required

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Time management skills

  • Knowledge of wireless/telecommunications technologies and platforms

  • Computer support and power experience and troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of radio transmitters, receivers, antennas, electronic theory, power and applications required

  • Personal computer skills

  • Attention to detail

Working Conditions: Works in field with exposure to RF emissions, construction materials, noise and wastes. Physical demands of lifting up to 60 pounds, stooping, and climbing ladders. Travel required.

Facility Profile: Established in 1997 and now a 203-bed hospital, Florida Hospital Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney's planned community of Celebration, Florida. The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease. Department Profile: PharmaCare Pharmacy is an outpatient, retail pharmacy located inside the lobby of Florida Hospital Celebration Health. Pharmacare Pharmacy provides the hospital with bedside delivery for patients' discharge medications and maintains specialty supplies and supplements for the joint replacement center, Global Robotic Institute, and Bariatric center. PharmaCare Pharmacy also services the surrounding community for prescription and over the counter needs. Work Hours/Shifts: Sunday – Saturday; 8am – 8pm; 8 hour shifts Job Summary: The pharmacy technician performs a wide range of supportive duties to assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications so that patients will receive care consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Retail Pharmacy and Florida Hospital Administration. Technician will perform all required duties/tasks necessary to provide for the effective daily operations of all department services and programs. Technician should be able to handle a high volume of work with minimal direct supervision and perform all level I and II job functions. Technician should actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required: * Competent in medical terminology, medication names and medication uses (preferred) * Proficient with prescription-filling software and other computer skills (preferred) * Ability to work under pressure (preferred) * Ability to interact professionally with public and other medical staff (preferred) * Knowledge of compounding oral/topical medications. (preferred) * High School graduate or G.E.D. certification. (preferred) * Retail Pharmacy experience, at least 2-3 years(preferred) * Experience with obtaining payment of prescriptions from insurance companies(preferred) Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required: * Must be registered with the State of Florida Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician (after Jan 1, 2010). * Technician certification (PTCB) or ability to obtain within two years. Fill in patient information on all prescriptions. Obtain insurance information from patient, and keep patient abreast of any insurance problems. Maintain current patient information in computer. Assure that patient has signed HIPAA release. Keep pharmacist aware of patient status and need for prescription check. Assure orders are processed, dispensed and delivered accurately and promptly. Always obtain pharmacists' verification before distribution of any medication. * Prescription preparation: follows strict guidelines in preparing and dispensing medications under the immediate supervision of the pharmacist. Assist the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medication accurately and efficiently. Prepare various compounds using aseptic technique under the immediate supervision of the pharmacist. Prepare and label prescriptions for the pharmacist before dispensing. Obtain controlled substances for prescription filling under the immediate supervision of pharmacist. Double-count schedule II controlled substances before dispensing. Place all dispensing materials for pharmacist final verification (i.e. stock container, original prescription(s), labeling, etc.). Demonstrate knowledge of the generic names of medications, medication uses, and a good understanding of mathematical principles. * Communication: communicate with patients and other pharmacies regarding prescription transfers or clarification. Answer phone calls and determine nature of request. Respond to requests to determine if there are refills. Respond to needs of patients, physicians, and other healthcare practitioners regarding status of prescriptions and deliveries. * Inventory management: maintain adequate current stock of medications. Maintain accuracy in inventory control including, but not limited to computer. Coordinate receiving, record keeping, stocking drugs and checking for shorts, discrepancies and outdated merchandise. Monitor inventory system to insure proper storage conditions for all pharmacy items. Check products for expiration date at least every month and before dispensing. Call hospital pharmacy to obtain needed drugs/supplies as requested by pharmacist. Respond to needs of patient, physician, nursing stations, and/or community pharmacists regarding special order or borrowing needs as requested by pharmacist. Adjust inventory stock levels and orders drugs in appropriate amount to replenish stock. Never run out of fast movers (top 50). Assure medications not ordered through EDI are entered into inventory. * Expense management: perform all activities involved in the management of pharmaceutical expenses by reviewing and comparing generic costs. Seek additional vendors for hard to obtain pharmaceuticals whenever necessary. Identify changes in drug movement patterns to Manager or Pharmacy Director as needed to address issues that may impact pharmacy budget. * Organization and efficiency of pharmacy: contribute to the organization and efficient operation of the pharmacy. Organize assigned work area by keeping it well stocked with necessary items, and keeping it in an orderly fashion. Contribute potential ideas to improve patient care and department organization. Plan and manage time in order to complete work assignments within a scheduled time frame, so that assistance may be given to other team members when needed or as directed. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure and stress. Carry out special assignments as assigned by the pharmacist. Assist in the training of new pharmacy staff members, residents, and students. Answer physician and staff questions as able or refer to the pharmacist. Demonstrates the ability to use the pharmacy computer. * Professional development: remain current in all retail business and other necessary policies and procedures to insure consistent quality of knowledge and performance. Attend monthly staff meetings. Read memos and posted changes. Participate in hospital or department in-service programs or continuing education programs as requested by supervisor. * Disaster plan involevment: understand disaster plan according to department policy. Participate in Disaster operations by coming to the retail store when requested.
