Field Operations Technician

Chameleon Technologies is searching for a motivated Field Operations Technician for a contract role in Portland, OR. As a Field Operations Technician, you will play a role in the operation, maintenance, and inspection of groundbreaking decarbonization pilot plants and other field equipment.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pilot and maintain a strong focus on safety throughout all operations. You will be required to work onsite at the facility in the greater Portland, OR area, and be on-call during nights and weekends. Our client is a Seattle-based cleantech startup.

They decarbonize natural gas into clean hydrogen at the point of use. With $100MM in venture capital raised from world-renowned investors including Bill Gates to support their vision, we are seeking best-in-class talent to accelerate their impact. The race to decarbonize the planet is on, and their technology has enormous potential to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors of the economy.

Responsibilities:Safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes Load and unload materials as needed Pick up and process carbon Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to identify issues Adhere to all safety policies, SOPs, and regulations Accurately log and document equipment hours, maintenance, and materials Coordinate with the Field Services Manager to ensure priorities are clear and assignments are completed in a timely manner Other duties as assigned Skills and Experience:3-5 years of experience operating and maintaining equipment in an industrial or field environment Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Experience and professionalism in a customer-facing role Safety first mindset and ability to follow safety protocols Ability to interpret and complete accurate documentation Valid Oregon driver's license with a clean record Physical capability to work primarily outdoors in the weather, standing up to 80% of the time, able to bend/crouch, and lift >25 lbs.
