As a member of the technical staff, the Environmental Specialist supports operations and sales in the areas of service, sales and management of chemical cleaning work. By applying proven engineering, chemical and interpersonal skills they help solve the chemical cleaning problems of our Customers. Their primary objective is to use their expertise to accomplish a safe, successful and profitable chemical cleaning operation resulting in a satisfied customer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Provide overall direction and field administration of his/her assigned project.
2.Manages the assigned personnel, equipment and subcontractors.
3.Ensures work performance is planned and coordinated according to the schedule, with strict adherence to safety, quality and budget considerations.
4.Assists the sales force and division operations in preparation of estimates and procedures in planning of projects, with emphasis on operational efficiency.
5.Maintains project work site in a safe and environmentally sound condition per DOT, EPA, and OSHA guidelines.
6.Acts as VES's main contact with the customer for the resolution of operational issues.
7.Initiates corrective action for any unsafe or environmentally unsound condition. Report situations as per company and customer regulations and procedures.
8.Ensure that all customer and company policies are adhered to in the completion of the assigned projects.
9.Monitor morale of personnel on project and strive to maintain at high level and "can do" attitude.
10.Interface as required with customer contact and constantly seek opportunities to sell additional services.
College degree a plus.
CDL Class B required
High school education or equivalent.
Hazardous Waste Endorsement, (preferred)
Computer skills preferably the Microsoft office suite
