Position Summary

The Field Operations Engineer will play an integral role in deploying and maintaining the company's artificial intelligence infrastructure solutions. Our optimal candidate will be a self-starter that can learn quickly. General responsibilities will include installation and maintenance of company hardware and software products, managing inventory, and providing customer support.

The Contribution:

• Manage client relationships through the deployment and support process

• Create and maintain documentation and other content for customers based on their feedback

• Confirm that the hardware meets customer requirements for effective performance

• Responsible for timely response to inbound phone and email support inquiries

• Appropriately escalates questions and concerns to the management team

• Coordinate on site visits with vendors and customers as required

• Monitor inbound support tickets and promptly respond to assigned field tickets according to contractual customer service level agreements

• Provide technical support (both remote and on-site) of Rekor hardware systems and software applications including advanced troubleshooting of computer software, hardware & electronics

You bring to the organization the following competencies:

• High school diploma or GED. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

• Experience working with IP based cameras

• Solid computer & electronics technical background with understanding and hands-on experience with tools such as multimeters, ethernet cable testers, POE switches, modems, & power injectors.

• Advanced knowledge of network, telephony, and wireless technology.

• Experience with the physical installation of camera systems

• Ability to travel domestically 90-100%

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Desire to grow your knowledge in SaaS products and Linux

• Must be self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervision

• Ability to manage multiple complicated and evolving projects

• Proven experience implementing software solutions across multiple architectures

• Strong interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to go above and beyond the minimum requirements

• Fundamental knowledge of software, servers, and networking

• Previous experience using a CRM tool

• License Plate Recognition Experience a plus

• CJIS Certification a plus

Physical Demands:
