Of the 12 FMOs, 4 will be assigned in each district. Of the four in each district two will be agriculturist and two will be agriculture market development specialist.

The 6 FMOs will be responsible for Identify progressive farmers from among different communities such as FPOs or IFFCO to acquaint them with project activities and select most potential direct beneficiaries who will be willing to continue to use Gaps and improved technologies to improve productivity. These group will assist in training these farmers, organizing field days and establishing field days and crop cut. They should identify local youths who will help in bringing such farmers.

The other 6 FMOs will be responsible for developing markets for the farmers through identification of traders, dealers and supermarket outlets to link farmers directly selling their products through these groups. They will be responsible for assisting the business development specialists in carrying out training of retailers and dealers and linking farmers with these groups for accessing quality inputs and selling their quality outputs through this groups

VIEW JOBS 3/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-05T00:00 AFI will collects data on its results indicators according to result framework of the project through the field monitoring officers (FMO). The village survey and crop cut will be done by FMOs. In addition, field activities such as farmers training program, field demo plots etc will be conducted by the private sector dealers/agro-input retailers, and NGOs with technical assistance of AFI FMOs. Also training program will be conducted by the project on business management for farmers and retailers. The incumbents shall be responsible for ensuring that good quality data are collected through village survey, crop cut, spot check, check listing of GAP users and AFI field activities are done in an effective way. He/she will verify through field trips that AFI data collected from field meet following criteria using a set format: Validity – Ensure all data to have a verifiable source, Integrity – Ensure the data are real and accurate; Precision – The data, gathered from beneficiaries and national-level sources, are sufficiently precise to reflect program performance and enable management review and decision-making. Data are collected at the village level, where AFI FMO is assigned to maintain records. Ensure that the error margin is acceptable; Reliability: Ensure that data collection is stable and consistent over time.
