• Insurance Premium Discounts EAP Resources Paid Holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Position Summary : The Field Mechanic is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and traveling to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of heavy industrial equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner. Key Roles / Responsibilities : Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment including testing and diagnostics.
  
  Monitor, evaluate, and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Able to diagnose simple and complex mechanical problems. Assist other technicians with performing repairs and maintenance as needed.
  
  Understand knowledge of oil field and engine equipment. Ability to perform tasks efficiently and effectively. Able to complete service jobs as required in a timely manner.
  
  Effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and management. Must follow all company policies and procedures. Must attend training classes as required.

Minimum Qualifications: 2 years' experience with similar industrial equipment strongly preferred. 2-5 years prior field service experience preferred. Must be capable of performing complex repairs correctly and safely in a shop environment and in the field.
  
  Must own a basic set of hand tools. Must have a valid driver license or commercial driver license. Able to travel overnight between facilities as necessary.
  
  High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in the English language. Working Conditions : Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  
  The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying. Prolonged periods of sitting on a forklift or other warehouse equipment. Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
  
  Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, breathing protection, and hard hats when needed. Able to work under stressful conditions at times. React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
  
  Must be able to move and lift to 40-pound wooden skid or pallet. Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections. Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  
  Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions. Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed. Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
