POSITION PURPOSE

The Field Measure Technician works independently in the field supporting Home Depot's Flooring Measurement Services. Field Measure Techs are directly responsible for traveling locally to customer's homes and conducting flooring measurements and gathering pre-installation details. Measure Techs play a key role prior to the sales, pricing, and flooring installations process in conjunction with the Measurement Services center. Measure Techs are directly responsible for providing a positive customer experience, transmitting accurate measurements and creating floorplans on a CAD tablet and meeting department related goals.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
90% - Providing customer service by assessing customer needs, conducting onsite home flooring measurements, and gathering pre-installation flooring details.
10% - Review and edit of drawings in the measurement tablet.

This position reports to Marketing Manager.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area when performing job duties. Majority of the day is spent in personal vehicle traveling locally to customer's homes in assigned area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Must pass a criminal background check.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: Less than 1 year, Training provided.

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Previous customer service, retail, home improvement, or field related work experience is a plus.

  • Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities and obtain and manage resources so that work objectives are accomplished on time.

  • Candidates must have strong computer skills.

Each event lasts one month.</p><p></p><p><em>Typical Event Responsibilities:</em></p><ul> <li>In the beginning, display 20 auctions in local businesses. (These locations are already secured by AAC’s Event Coordinator).</li> <li>Every Monday refresh bid sheets and submit bids from each location during live events.</li> <li>Pick up and redisplay auctions at new businesses at the start/end of each event.</li> <li>Maintain access and control of local storage unit containing auction products.</li> <li>Be available to pick up locations on a last minute notice.</li> <li>Inventory check upon request.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Must have a car big enough to move product and displays.
