We’re looking for a Field Marketing Manager (contract) for a cybersecurity company that offers its services to Federal/DoD, State and Local, and Commercial markets. Reporting directly to the CMO, you’ll be focusing on helping the company expand its reach in growth markets including SLED, higher education, and highly regulated commercial companies.
The most qualified candidates possess deep experience in SLED and proven success in creating and executing integrated plans to support field sales, expand pipeline, and nurture existing customers. Term: The role is expected to be a long-term contract position (W2), at least 6 months or more. Location: This position is hybrid, with 1-2 days in the firm’s Ashburn, VA office.
What You’ll Do Design and deliver comprehensive marketing plans to support field sales activities for a nationwide sales team, using channels like thought leadership, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), email campaigns, paid ads, social media, and events to build a sustainable pipeline for new business and cross-sell/upsell opportunities. Lead the company’s webinar function from soup to nuts: managing content, logistics, securing SMEs, marketing, hosting and moderating, attendee communication and follow-up, etc. Collaborate closely with sales teams in all territories to understand customer needs and build out tailored content, messaging, events, and opportunities.
Monitor the effectiveness of the marketing program by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement, conversion rates, and pipeline growth. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates, share results, and gather feedback. The Quals You’ll Need A minimum of 5 years marketing experience with specific expertise in field marketing.
Thorough understanding of and proven success in the SLED environment. Experience fully managing thought leadership-focused webinars, specifically using tools like Zoom Enterprise and HubSpot to market to attendees and host events. Expert relationship-building and collaboration skills to effectively work with a distributed sales force and internal/external teams.
Understanding of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) principles and how to tailor marketing for specific prospects in the company’s pipeline and client roster. A self-motivated mindset with ability to work independently, get things done, and ask for help when needed. Unparalleled project management skills and attention to detail.
BA/BS or equivalent work experience. Bonus Points Cybersecurity experience.
