Role Summary:

The Field Marketing Manager (Emerging Biotech) leads the development and execution of the marketing plan for Emerging Biotech accounts in the West Region with specific focus on accounts in San Francisco. This marketing professional will be the subject matter expert on the needs and drivers for these accounts to sure optimal engagement from a marketing and commercial standpoint.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute the Emerging Biotech Marketing Plan on time and on budget in alignment with global marketing campaigns and regional commercial objectives.

  • Demand Creation & Funnel Acceleration: responsible to develop and execute demand creation & funnel acceleration tactics supporting product and solution commercial launch plans and IB Marketing initiatives

  • Conduct in depth local segment analysis including account characterization, opportunity sizing and propensity modelling

  • Generate voice of customer insights, monitor segment trends and changes in competitor tactics and strategy.

  • In collaboration with global marketing, develop segment positioning and value propositions

  • Measure effectiveness of all marketing activity in the segment and in the region with the expectation of pivoting proactively where needed

  • Analyze win/loss data combined with local sales funnel and sales related metrics (conversion rates, customer retention etc.) and propose actions where needed

  • Work in close collaboration with local commercial teams and ensure they are trained and equipped with segment-customized materials and tools

  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders, foster engagement with GE SME's and engage with local professional societies

  • Ensure One LS perspective on all activities and communications and work broadly across businesses and functions

  • Setup a consistent communication op mech with key internal stakeholders

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Marketing, Business Management

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in marketing, product marketing or related field in high technology markets

  • Versed in contemporary marketing approaches with proven marketing planning and execution capabilities

  • Team oriented exhibit strong interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization.

  • A high degree of self-motivation and a proven track record of independent execution

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Strong analytical and process skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel within U.S and Canada and occasionally internationally.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced degree in Science, Marketing, Business Management or related field

  • Experience in a commercial environment. For example; sales, key account management, sales management, marketing, scientific support and/or training.

  • Account based marketing experience

  • Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities and undertake challenging tasks and/or global projects.
