Our Environmental Field Laborers are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with high pressure water blasting, hazardous waste clean-up, and handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs labor intensive activities throughout the day

  • Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights

  • Operates light and heavy equipment including: oil spill booms and vacuum equipment

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • 1 year of labor intensive experience in all weather conditions

  • High School Diploma or equivalency

  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record

Assist the functional managers in all aspects of the hiring of regular and temporary staffing, all aspects of the Human Resource function, including but not limited to payroll, investigations, training and employee relations. Job Duties: Provides effective leadership of the divisional Human Resources department as evidenced by: Assisting in the development and communication of a clear vision/strategy for the Human Resources departments that are aligned with the Company vision and strategies. Assisting in the establishment and accomplishment of objectives that are aligned with the overall Company strategies and objectives. Assisting in the development and staffing of an appropriate organization with the skills required to be successful and behavior that supports the Company's values. Providing continuous performance feedback to personnel and developing training and education plans to enhance their capabilities and prepare them for future opportunities. Leads administration of programs for environmental, health and safety, and loss prevention at the plant level. Provides counsel, guidance, assistance and labor relations direction to assigned facilities in the administration, coordination and interpretation of the corporation and divisional labor relations policies and objectives. Assist Plant Manager and Operations Team with plant specific functions, projects, requests, and reports. Provides Human Resource back-up support for other Lifoam sites. Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation. Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. Performs such individual assignments as management may direct. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to display diplomacy in day-to-day interactions with the commitment to task with awareness of urgency. The ability to work independently and work as a value add to the divisional team function.
