The Opportunity

Our Field Laborers (Environmental Technicians) are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with tank cleaning, high pressure water blasting, emergency response clean-up, hazardous waste clean-up and the handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

  • Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities that deal with biological, chemical and etiological materials;

  • Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift;

  • Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights;

  • Operates light and heavy equipment including: skid steers, forklift, pressure washers.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • 6 months farm, construction or general labor experience;

  • Valid Driver's License;

  • Safety oriented mindset with the determination to follow all procedures and policies;

  • Ability to travel (70% of the year) and work on an on-call basis;

  • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Role Summary: Baker Hughes, a GE company has an immediate opening for an Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Equipment Cable Technician (Artificial Lift) for Brownfield, TX. Essential Responsibilities: * Maintain shop equipment. * Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices * The work is performed using common hand tool * Have the ability to read scales to ensure correct measurements * Input information into workspace to ensure traceability * May perform administrative and inventory work * Basic computer skills * Work within BHGE Health and Safety rules and guidelines * Flexible with working overtime as needed Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Strong housekeeping ability in order to maintain cleanliness of shop. * Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations * Good mechanical skills * Basic skills in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes * Will be required to remain on call for after hours or weekend work * Able to work efficiently in a team environment * Able to communicate effectively in a courteous manner required * Must be flexible with working overtime as needed * Must be able to work an "on call" rotating weekend schedule as needed Desired Characteristics: * Oil Field experience * Electrical background * Any experience in oil field equipment preparation preferred * Knowledge of blasting and coating machines. * Experience with ALS tools Locations: Brownfield, TX Baker Hughes, a GE company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
