About the job
SUMMARY
Understand and execute multiple facets of a restaurant equipment installation and minor remodel projects, including subcontractor supervision and training, site surveys, remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, safety, and applicable building codes.
Your tasks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Knowledge of commercial construction including electrical, plumbing, framing, etc.
Gather project materials and maintain records of inventory throughout the project cycle.
Ensure subcontractor and vendor work is executed and complies with scope of work.
Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them timely to project team for resolution.
Able to quickly identify potential schedule conflicts and generate and implement needed modifications
Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite. Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Able to clearly explain steps, provide clear directions, and answer questions about construction processes to customer representatives, employees, and subcontractors
Proficient at blueprint reading and ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to employees, and others
Use and maintain hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary power tools safely, with the ability to identify and correct environmental or other workplace hazards
Willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from team members
Must complete and fulfill paperwork required for purchase orders, and time sheets weekly
Frequent over night and weekend work required to meet project deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction tools, computers and tablets etc. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required.
5+ years of prior commercial construction experience with equipment and installation repair
Proficient in MS Office products, including ERP and supporting field survey software
Skilled in multiple trades such as welding, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
Restaurant operational and foodservice equipment experience highly preferred
Prefer a valid Commercial Driver's License for truck rentals
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires frequent air travel (>95% of the time) and hotel stays
