Job Purpose
Fulfill all responsibilities of a FIR Level III (76333) in addition to growing, developing, and executing the Field Installation Worldwide Training Program on a global platform.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Applies extensive technical, mechanical, electrical, and hydro-mechanical skills required to perform all aspects of controls and package system upgrades on supported product lines specializing in complex designs. Works independently, leads secondary technicians, and trains new leads on project execution.
Works from limited documented instructions including engineering drawings and schematics. Operates, inspects, and maintains all equipment required to complete a safe package systems upgrade. Order new equipment as needed to maintain / increase productivity.
Possess expert skills in conduit installation, tube bending and installation, and sub assembly techniques, and trains less experienced technicians (worldwide) on related technical skills, administrative responsibilities, and professional communication skills required to properly execute package systems upgrades. Actively promotes and implements continuous improvement activities associated with PSU products, execution processes, and training. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for package system upgrades techniques, processes, design improvements, and first article upgrade designs.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Work permit program understanding and compliance. Participate in general safety meetings and toolbox (Tailgate) safety briefings including:
Work Place Hazard and Task Risk Assessment reviews. Submit safety suggestions identified as appropriate.
Plan, execute, assist / supervise & train less experienced FIRs in the removal of the obsolete control console, inter-connect wiring, package system components, and conduit/cable tray & tubing that will be deleted, replaced, or upgraded per the project ACS.
Install, assist / supervise in the placement of the new control console.
Plan, develop, and execute the layout for new package system
components, replacement and/or modification of all conduit/cable tray & tubing necessary to accommodate the new controls, components,
and package systems per the project ACS.

Act as project leader and customer liaison on projects of all complexity.
Assist commissioning FSR in the completion of cold loop checks and validating hydro-mechanical prints prior to demobilizing.
Support and assist the execution and delivery of departmental training program (field & factory).
Provide technical & administrative leadership to all FIRs.
Information sharing - collect issues from FIR's, research and generate solutions, create feedback reports to communicate issue and solutions, and distribute to worldwide FIR teams
Assist with research and development of training material, evaluation criteria, and supplemental data for all FIR skill levels
Conduct factory training and evaluations for international and domestic FIR's as needed
Conduct field training while functioning in a supervisory role onsite for international and domestic FIR's
Provide a common board of evaluators with proven background/experience that can function as a quality gate for critical business decisions such as approving new Lead Techs and establishing Sr. Lead Tech status
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven leadership skills in a team-oriented fast-paced work environment (factory and field), and train FIRs in job related skills. Advanced training and experience in complex package system upgrade/refurbishment, overhaul, or specialized training in a particular area, such as electronics or hydraulics or the equivalent in work experience.
Demonstrate abilities derived from 6 (or more) years of turbo-machinery experience (field based) including integration of customer balance of plant equipment with Solar PLC systems. Advanced problem-solving, computer, and communication skills. Thorough knowledge and safe operation of all related tooling and equipment.
Heavy experience in the application of all environmental, health, safety, security, and quality policies (field and factory) as defined. Possess/obtain U.S. Passport and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
Pass offshore medical physical (OEUK), drug screen & offshore survival training (BOSIET/HUET), and maintain certifications as required. Experience in the Application of all environmental, health, safety, and security policies (field and factory) as defined.
