The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Field Experiment Scientist to work in Springfield, VA after an initial orientation at our Alexandria, VA office. Provides designing and conducting field experiments in support of remote sensing research and Geospatial CYBER.

Will conduct experiments in support Geospatial Cyber R&D related to geospatial application of data in cyberspace including: cyber-based pattern-of-life discovery, mobility modeling, and geospatial inference, as well as protection from threats to GEOINT data and methods.The desired candidate should have a background in GEOINT data from various sources such as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, other Intelligence Agencies, US Army Geospatial Center or other DoD agencies. Responsible for maintaining good customer relations to explain technical trade-off to managers and customers who may not have the technical expertise to perform the analysis themselves. Responsibilities:
Conducting field experiments of geospatial/temporal application to cyber-based sensors and datasets to address GEOINT missions.Evaluating and prototyping of cyber based GEOINT systems and applications

The candidate will work directly with customers and team members for evaluation of operational requirements and developing technical solutions.The candidate is required to interface verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff.Developing technical solutions relating to system engineering, software development, fabrication/integration, verification, user training, operations and support.Detailed documentation of testing and evaluations, process improvement recommendations, and standard operating procedures.Must hold a TS/SCI

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed belowBA/BA with 4 experience years or 11 years of experience, in engineering, computer science, or geospatial-related discipline Proficiency in Geospatial Information and Geospatial Intelligence technologies

Ability to work in a government office in Springfield, VA after initial onboarding in Alexandria, VAMust hold a TS/SCI Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:Experience Supporting high-impact cyber analytics and or RFIs with IC cyber experience broadening and accelerate use of the analytics across the IC. Experience supporting R&D related to deriving meaningful intelligence from the geospatial application of data in cyberspace including: cyber-based pattern-of-life discovery, mobility modeling, and geospatial inference, as well as protection from threats to GEOINT data and methods.Experience using user feedback/refinement of these automated outputs will be used to continuously improve algorithm performance. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * MS or PhD in a computational field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Astrophysics), or equivalent work experience. * Experience designing, developing, training, tuning, and deploying learning models in current ML frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, Theano, Caffe, Spark MLib, etc.). * Excellent understanding of ETL and data analytics platforms. * Experience with Agile Methodologies. * Experience with natural language processing techniques and technologies. * Extensive experience with model transfer techniques and methodologies. * Experience applying machine learning techniques to sparse data sets. * Experience with data quality and data profiling tools.
