As the demands on our Field Engineering organization grows, we are looking for an innovative Field Engineering Enablement Manager who can navigate the complexities of big-data/ML/AI landscape to build and scale world-class technical enablement programs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent skills in instructional development and delivery as well as demonstrated experience with deploying training programs out to a fast-paced, rapidly growing technical organization. This job will require a unique combination of technical pre-sales knowledge, program management, creativity, leadership, and drive.

A successful Field Engineering Enablement Manager will ensure that Databricks' technical field teams have the knowledge, content, and tools to ramp quickly and maximize revenue, customer success, and adoption.


  • Shape the ongoing strategy and mission of the global Field Engineering training program.

  • Provide leadership and hands on support to capture the best practices executed by high performers, and scale these practices across the field engineering organization through documentation, enablement and communications.

  • Support technical enablement programs by authoring content, organizing enablement journeys, determining best enablement approaches, and delivering training and coaching across all delivery platforms - face-to-face workshops, eLearning, virtual workshops, lab exercises, presentations, self-service portal, all hands calls and newsletters.

  • Work with the global Field Engineering leadership team and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, effective training content in various regions and locales.

  • Be the technical and pre-sales expert supporting a cross-functional team (sales, salesops, pre-sales, post-sales) for all stages of the employment lifecycle including onboarding, ramp, work, and growth.

  • Organize technical content for company events such as Annual Technical Summit, Company Kickoff, and quarterly events.

  • Collaborate with engineering, customer success, support, and product management to keep up-to-date with a fast-evolving platform product and fast-growing company.


  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content.

  • Experience with learning management and knowledge base systems.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation and whiteboarding skills.

  • Customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role highly desired.

  • Knowledge designing and architect distributed data systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of Apache Spark or other distributed big data systems preferred.

  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Scala or Java.

  • Experience working with open source and/or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant work experience preferred.

Reporting to the Director, Global Customer Success Enablement. This intern will play an important role in our Worldwide Field Enablement team assisting in a variety of projects and tasks supporting the Customer Success Enablement team. Responsibilities: * Assist in project management of Customer Success enablement programs * Collaborate as needed with our Customer Success Management business partners * Create eLearning content using related tools * Assist with special projects supporting the CS Enablement Team * Assisting with program launches for Global Customer Success Managers - setting up webcasts, sending invitations, tracking participation, gathering feedback. * Preparing reports and communicating updates to global CSM leadership * Attending WW Field Enablement team meetings to understand the various programs we are implementing and maintaining in our Sales and Customer Success organizations. * Attending CSM team meetings * Monitoring of the CSM communication channels like Slack and Chatter to keep up to date with the business and the needs from the team Basic Qualifications: * Currently enrolled in an accredited university - pursing a Bachelor's degree * Strong verbal, written, organizational and presentation skills * Dynamic, highly motivated, organized self-starter * Familiarity with technology systems including Microsoft Office and Google Suite Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity and comfort level working in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Apps * Ability to learn new applications quickly - Zoom, Slack, Salesforce, Smartsheets, Saleshood, Articulate, HighSpot * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Outgoing with a comfort level working with and collaborating across various organizations. * Ability to keep up in a fast paced business environment * Be genuine and work with integrity Working at DocuSign Our technology is transforming the way our customers live their lives and do business.
