The Field Engineer role will be located at the Vogtle nuclear power plant in Waynesboro, GA, performing work on shield building for McDermott's CBI Services, LLC, the Union entity of CB&I Storage Tank Solutions (CSTS) business. CSTS is currently part of McDermott International, which announced its intent to sell the business in October 2018. The successful candidate will be part of CSTS, the world's leading and most experienced builder and designer of industrial storage facilities.
Actively manage and coordinate the construction for our Client
Additional Job Duties include:
Understanding contractual requirements and communicating them to the team
Expedite the flow of technical information
Focal point for technical issues/coordination between McDermott, Supplier and Client for area of responsibility
Maintain the action items list
Management / resolution of Management of Change program (MOC)
Support the subcontract plan
Actively support safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives
Actively support constructability program and communicate constructability issues to discipline engineers
Assist with project closeout and turnover of deliverable to Client
Layout components for installation
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; or associates degree in Construction Management.
No experience required.
Must pass FFD
Ability to obtain and maintain access to a nuclear construction site
Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree
1-5 years field experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
