Field Engineer - Primoris Industrial & Civil

Primoris Industrial and Civil is looking for an experienced Field Engineer to help with a growing number of projects around the Mulberry, Florida area, with the potential for some travel. This field-based role offers an exciting opportunity to assist in planning and overseeing large-scale earthwork and site development projects, ensuring their successful execution from conception to completion. Responsibilities

• Assist with technical engineering for project & construction management to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, and specifications

• Assist with project submittals, submittal acquisition from subcontractors, and review incoming submittals prior to transmitting to the owner/engineer

• Coordinating with owner and engineer representatives during the project

• Allocate cost codes to the appropriate field operations and track/maintain quantities to verify subcontractor/supplier billing

• Track and compile records of materials, equipment, and labor for any/all change orders and field orders.

• Provide technical assistance with project scheduling

• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports throughout the project

• Assist project management in all job aspects

• Coordinate with Survey as required to facilitate the construction

• Work with safety department to analyze potential job hazards and prepare plan to eliminate risks

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred

• 3-5 years' experience as a Field Engineer/Assistant Project Manager in the construction/heavy civil industry

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Computer literate, Viewpoint, HCSS, and Primavera desirable

• Must possess a valid state driver's license prior to employment.

Preferred:

• MSHA Experience and Certification
