The Leidos Defense and Intelligence Group (IS&G) has an openings for experienced Field Engineers.

The positions require an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph to support a government client.

In this position, the qualified candidate will be required to travel both domestic and overseas managing equipment and network installations. In this position, the qualified candidate will apply end-to-end life cycle support of network baseband and satellite systems. Primary Responsibilities The Leidos Defense and Intelligence Group (IS&G) has an openings for experienced Field Engineers.

The primary responsibilities are as follows: Integrating, delivering, installing and testing Network Baseband Systems Site and equipment surveys Upgrading/integrating equipment at Post Communication Centers (PCCs) Installing and/or upgrading equipment for tail circuits Activating communication services for customers Scheduling installation technical support and activity sequence for projects Planning, organizing and controlling projects, as well as tracking and reporting status and schedules Providing technical documentation and other support Preparing program and project budget estimates Preparation, execution and documentation of new field satellite terminal installations Implementing innovative processes to improve efficiency and performance across all tasks to include but not limited to: Network Baseband System Fabrication, installation and O&M, and procurement of equipment and materials. Developing and implementing a metrics plan/reporting system Coordinating domestic and overseas travel for installations technician Installation of network system racks and equipment, including all cabling/wiring Installing power panels Special systems support, Tier 1 & 2

  • Bachelor's degree and or relevant work experience can be used in lieu of degree 4 years experience delivering, installing and testing Network Baseband Systems Demonstrated knowledge of system development life cycle Domestic and overseas travel is required up 50% of the time Must have a Top Secret/SCI Clearance with polygraph

Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline is a plus.</li> <li>Strong experience in working at manufacturing facilities with adverse environmental conditions involving high temperatures, noise, water.</li> <li>Outstanding verbal, communication, and customer service skills; ability to work independently</li> <li>Any experience in the glass industry is a strong plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Travel</strong></p> <p>This position requires <strong>traveling world-wide 50%-75% of the time.</strong></p> <p><strong>Location</strong></p> <p>Northern Virginia (Washington D.C.
