The Field Engineer II - Mission Generation Systems Operator (MGSO), position will perform the following task:

Will be an experienced aviation systems or simulation technician preferably with prior mission planning experience. He/she will be dedicated to mission generation and the implementation of Air Force Mission Support System (AFMSS) mission data into the B-2 simulation scenarios.

The MGSO's primary duties will be to implement training missions for the 509th Bomb Wing's Mission Training Center and Distributed Mission Operations (DMO). Collateral duties will include supporting existing MSGO capabilities in generating and implementing Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Wing, and Weapons School mission requests. While not certified aircrew, the MGSO will be responsible to work closely within the Mission Training Center (MTC) to implement mission scenarios and goals as defined by qualified mission planning personnel, and as provided via AFMSS, JMPS or other mission planning tools. The MGSO will also support mission planning personnel in troubleshooting scenarios to ensure they achieve the desired goal of the training mission.

  • Bachelor's Degree or a two-year electronic technician resident course at an accredited technical institute and/or military technical training and equivalent electronics maintenance experience or Mission Generation System Operation (MGSO) experience on equipment of similar complexity

  • Prefer 4 years' experience and have demonstrated competence by satisfactory progressive performance in electronic maintenance or Mission Generation System Operation (MGSO) on simulation systems of comparable complexity to those supported on this program

  • This position requires experience in integrated multi-computer systems, video generation and display systems, complex digital interfaces, high density cable/plug repair, software maintenance, and comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of general training device peripheral systems

  • Prospective must have demonstrated leadership skills in a highly technical environment dealing directly with customer personnel

  • This is a Field Service position and may require travel

  • Prospective employee must be able to work independently and interface with the customer and the home office while on travel

  • CompTIA Security , A , or Network certificates are a plus

  • Candidate must possess or must be able to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Clearance
