Position: Field Engineer
Your planned career:
Working on-site at our client locations, the Field Engineer will be in a technical and operational support role, learning and using our equipment such as fracturing pumps, blenders, hydration units and working within the data van. The intent will be to use this role as a learning step to a Field Leader role, where you will gain the knowledge to manage multiple different crews, problem-solving and strategically planning our operations. Once promoted to a Field Leader position you will perform QC/QA daily while on shift, provide leadership from an operational, quality and safety standpoint, and provide clear and concise communication to the client. The Field Engineer role is a progression role where Engineers will develop their skill set to deliver quality operations, learning our equipment, attending substantial training and developing both technical and tactical skills needed for an HRO environment.
What you will do:
Understanding and completing job designs including fluids, proppant, volumes, and additives based on a basic open hole log review and/or pump schedules
Performing tasks with data acquisition software, hydraulic fracturing pumps, blenders, and hydration units
Providing on-site computer modeling and data acquisition software support
Performing net pressure, observed net pressure, and measured bottom hole pressure analysis
Understanding and monitoring pressure matching
Maintaining real-time mass balance data on proppant and fracturing additives
Preparing and distributing post job reports and post well hydraulic fracturing summaries
Performing tasks to ensure quality assurance of all on-site materials
Performing tasks to track material delivery rates for quality control
Communicating with on-site customers in a professional manner
Performing tasks for an on-site water analysis
Providing additional support for multiple fleets when needed
Rig up/down backside equipment as needed and learn how to run and troubleshoot
You will be required to learn the fracturing system, including field operation of designated Fracturing equipment
Attending all required on the job training, classroom-based and online training and working through your progression plans.
What you need:
Bachelor's of Science Degree required, Civil or Industrial Engineering/Science applicants are encouraged to apply
Experience in or knowledge of Process Engineering is a plus
Experience with process improvement techniques (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.)
Must have strong computer skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft products
Working knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, technical skill, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Must be able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and external contacts
Must be able to learn company-specific applications
Must have a satisfactory driving record
Willing to work flexible schedule and travel as needed
We are looking for candidates who are willing to relocate or rotate as required to one of our Districts
