Field Engineer

Description:

Field/Construction Materials Testing Technicians perform field inspections and observations for commercial construction projects. We have opportunities for experienced technicians with ACI, ICC, Nuclear Guage or any other certifications. The employee will be fully trained in the use of the equipment necessary to accomplish this.

• Under close supervision of higher-level technicians or staff professionals, assist with tasks and perform basic testing and observation duties for asphalt, concrete, and soil.

• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.

• Communicates information to the Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.

• Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager

• Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.

• Maintains assigned equipment.

• Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or management concerns.

• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects: mix-use, commercial, warehouses, gas stations, etc

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 6 months experience required.

• Obtain ACI, ICC, or Nuclear Guage Density certification

• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.

• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

• Experienced technicians must have and maintain the required ACI certifications to perform appropriate inspections
