Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven DevOps Field CTO. The Field CTO is responsible for aligning with our Enterprise Account Executives and clients in the West, many of which are headquartered in the Bay Area. A successful Field CTO at Praecipio is responsible for driving new opportunities within our client base by establishing deeper relationships and increasing credibility based on experience. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and ITSM principles, as well as experience with generative AI technologies.
This position can be worked remotely on the West Coast and will require travel up to 30% to clients in the region. Candidates located in the Bay Area will be considered first.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile, and ITSM strategy for multiple services industries.
- Identify opportunities where these frameworks and technologies can create unique value for clients.
- Partner with clients to conceptualize and deliver transformational solutions that impact business and technology outcomes.
- Stay at the cutting edge of Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, ITSM, and AI research and development.
- Play a crucial role in guiding organizations through the optimization of their DevOps practices
- Share insights and expertise through presentations and publications.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the organization.
- Identify and promote best practices, methodologies, and frameworks for successfully implementing generative Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, ITSM, and AI solutions.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with cloud hyper scalers, cloud data platforms, and specialist generative AI technology partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, information technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related technology field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience implementing Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and ITSM.
- 10+ years of experience with Agile, DevOps, and ITSM principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills at the C-Level.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with the following tools and technologies: Atlassian, GitLab, ServiceNow, JFrog, AWS, AI, Azure, Jenkins, Splunk.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key client decision-makers and influencers.
- Ability to drive sales and grow the business in strategic accounts
- Ability to mentor and train others.
Salary range: $180,000+
Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus or benefits.
