General Description:
With shared vision and purpose, we will drive organizational change and effectiveness through a focus on staff and team development, accountability, and equity and inclusion.
The Public Services - Human Services Coordinator position will coordinate with the Public Services Director as well as the Public Services Field Coordinators and leads. This Coordinator will oversee the work of staff hired to work on the campaign as well as any MLDPs who are off the job to engage in the contract campaign. They will be expected to attend the Central Table negotiations sessions and team caucus' to assist as necessary in the preparation and effective execution of negotiations. Additionally, this coordinator will advise around bargaining strategy in conjunction with the Executive Director and chief bargainers as well as identify, develop, and implement legal, legislative, and regulatory strategies to advance the bargaining campaign.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive field plan to build a strike ready campaign with an equity and inclusion lens on building a strong membership base to engage and lead in the campaign
Identify staffing needs for campaign and hire and supervise those positions
Coordinate with legal, political, research and communications departments to build the campaign
Provide ongoing direction and support to field coordinator team to lead on the bargaining campaign
Prepare reports and present to the board as needed around the campaign
Lead on field actions
Engage in strategic planning around legislative and table strategy to maximize leverage
Qualifications:
Strong commitment to progressive social change and activist experience.
Experience developing member leaders in the field to lead on campaigns
Experience leading bargaining tables as the spokesperson
Proven ability to utilize information from and about workers, employers, economic/financial research to inform and develop campaign strategies.
Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, SalesForce and a variety of computer-based research tools.
Excellent writing and communications skills.
Ability to work well under tight deadlines and in a team environment.
Readiness to work long, irregular hours and to attend weekend and evening activities.
Working Environment:
Group 2 - Requires occasional lifting and exertion for short periods
Office and field work involving travel to all areas of the state - sometimes with overnight stays - in a variety of environmental conditions. The workweek is Monday through Friday plus weekend work when specifically assigned. The workday may begin before and extend beyond normal office hours depending on the demands of the assignment.

Pay and Benefits:
Field Coordinators positions provide comprehensive fully paid health, dental and vision benefits for employee and eligible dependents, domestic partner benefits, generous holiday and vacation policies, a monthly car and cell phone allowance, and a 15% employer-paid defined contribution 401K. Compensation range is based on experience $87,636- $116,868 annually.
