Field Education Coordinator 3:

This position coordinates all aspects of field education placements for students in the MSW program with special focus to the online program. The Field placement process is complex due to the assessment of the student, agency, supervisor credentials, compliance with CSWE (Council on Social Work Education) requirements and risk management issues to ensure safety and compliance to ensure the integrity of the educational requirements are met in an external environment.

The Coordinator 3 is responsible for recognizing potential risk and compliance issues to resolve with the assistance of the Assistant Director or Director as needed.

100% Coordinates placement of all MSW students in the field education program; Coordinates, monitors and maintains all required field trainings for online field students; Coordinates recruiting and approving online field placement sites; Reviews state regulatory laws in online placements outside of Louisiana; Coordinates meeting online with field students to answer questions about sequencing of field, requirements and areas of interest; and Addresses any CSWE compliance issues with C4, AD or Director of Field to ensure of all CSWE standards for online field education are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's of Social Work Degree.

Certifications or Licenses:

Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and/or Licensed Master Level Social Work credentialing from the Louisiana Board of Social Work Examiners.

Competencies:

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's of Social Work Degree. 1-3 Years of Post MSW Experience.

OR

Field Education Coordinator 4:

This position coordinates all aspects of field education placements for students in the MSW program with special focus to the Online program. The Field placement process is complex due to the assessment of the student, agency, supervisor credentials, compliance with CSWE (Council on Social Work Education) requirements and risk management issues to ensure safety and compliance to ensure the integrity of the educational requirements are met in an external environment.

The Coordinator 4 is responsible for resolving potential risk and compliance issues and to see assistance from the Assistant Director or Director when needed. This Coordinator 4 differs from Coordinator 3 by having the ability to independently approve field placements for CSWE compliancy due to LCSW Credential.

100% Oversees placements of l MSW students in the field education program; Monitors and maintains required field trainings for online field students; Recruits and approves new partner agencies that meet requirements to become an approved field placement site; Maintains compliance and information on state regulatory laws in online placements outside of Louisiana; Meets with online with field students to answer questions about sequencing of field, requirements and areas of interest to determine next steps of placement; Ensure compliance of all CSWE standards for online field education placements including worksite and two-year requests; Develops and facilitates required field trainings and orientations; Manages projects provided by the Director or Assistant Director of Field to assist with data collection, CSWE reaffirmation efforts or projects as needed.

This Coordinator 4 differs from Coordinator 3 by having the ability to independently approve field placements for CSWE compliancy due to LCSW credential.
