Position: Field Applications Engineer

Location: Hampton, NH

connector designs for test & measurement, OEM applications, and specialized
military applications. Ardent's patented contact technologies are well suited
for advanced multi-GHz applications such as board stack connectors, coaxial
connectors, FPGA sockets, flex circuit connectors, probe interfaces, and
mezzanine card connectors. We have a complete line of high-performance test
socket solutions for the most advanced chipsets such as RF devices, ASICS,
switches, processors, and MEMS devices. We support chip to chip, chip to board,
board to board, and flex to board applications.

We are currently seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join our team. This
position is located out of our Hampton, NH office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) at Amphenol Ardent Concepts is the first
and primary contact for technical sales support. Working closely with the sales
team and engineering team, the Applications Engineer will ensure the customer's
technical requirements are effectively conveyed and met with viable product
solutions. The FAE will also work with the product development team and the
marketing team to provide crucial insight into technological trends, market
technical requirements, application specifications, and competition activities
to the company.

Lead the technical discussion with customers; articulate business
opportunities with respect to their technical values to internal teams; act as
the bridge between the customers and the company
Obtain insight into customer's application requirements and communicate to
sales and engineering team
Combine the application requirements and the product knowledge to recommend
an existing solution -OR- work closely with the engineering team to propose a
custom design
Support customer's technical needs to facilitate the "Design-In" as well as
continued adoption of our product and solution
Collaborate with sales and engineering team to ensure technical requirements
of the Design-In are met
Work collaboratively with the rest of the FAE team in authoring and
maintaining a library of customer facing documentation such as presentations,
application notes, specifications, and guidelines
Assist with the product development process by providing insights on latest
trends in market and applications, user feedbacks, and competition activities
Assist with activities that help educate the market on our technology and
advantage, such as publications, webinars, tradeshows, etc.
Assist with field issue resolution by providing insights on the original
application requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
2-5 years of experience in a technical role
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret mechanical prints
and drawings required
Proficiency in solid modeling/CAD tools strongly preferred (SolidWorks or
equivalent is preferred)
General understanding of electrical principles strongly preferred
Knowledge in high frequency RF signaling and/or high-speed digital
communication is desirable
Knowledge of PCB fabrication and/or interconnect design is desirable
Customer support or sales support experience is desirable
Proficiency with MS Office suite
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, and cross-functional team
environment
Ability to effectively communicate across different disciplines and
functions of a business
High level customer service and relation building with the customers
