Field Applications Engineer [033062.001194]

Perform semiconductor engineering duties in furtherance of design and implementation phases of contactless solutions, leveraging the NXP portfolio of NFC tags, NFC front-ends and controllers and UWB. Support technical design-in activities with a focused hands-on Antenna design, tuning and optimization.

Review complete layout for RF performance and lead system debugging activities with an active contribution to RF related issues. Work within the Customer Application Support team to design-in activity at customer sites in close cooperation with the NXP business lines. Responsible for analyzing customer's technical objectives and leading proof of concept, solution design, and demonstrations to improve sales team effectiveness and responsiveness.

Contribute to the promotion and deployment in the Americas Regions of Contactless solutions based on NFC and UWB. Provide technical skills & support to NXP's sales staff and liaise with the NXP technical community about technical issues and future customer roadmap. Build and maintain technical product trainings for customers during the system definition and implementation. Up to 25% of domestic and international (EU and Asia) travel required.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.

Six (6) months of experience in the job offered, Engineering Consultant, RF Engineer/ Reporter or related occupations.

Required skills:

Position requires six (6) months of experience in:

• Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and RF simulation and debugging tools;

• Schematic design and layout for RF sections;

• Support technical design-in activities with a focused hands-on on Antenna design, tuning and optimization; and

• Wireless technology standard like GSM, LTE.

Offered Annual Salary: $153,504

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs.

This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:

$110,000 to $151,300 annually
