Field Application Engineer

Field Application Engineer for Hardware in the Loop (HIL)                           

 Vector North America is seeking to add to our team that proposes, builds and delivers custom HIL systems to fulfill growing demand in the area of testing and validation on customized benches more rapidly.    Custom HIL test systems are developed for simulations and test automation for individual customer projects using Vector tools such as CANoe, vTESTstudio and VT-Systems.  An experienced, detail-oriented Field Application Engineer is needed to:

Position Description:

• Deliver HIL test solutions in close collaboration with customers to meet requirements.
• Provide support for HIL project proposals as needed.

• Develop simulations and test automation based on Vector tools such as CANoe, vTESTstudio and VT-System.

• Liaison with the customer throughout the project, delivery, and support.

• Execute wiring tests for externally manufactured test benches.

• Set up and deploy test systems at the customer site as needed.

• Provide customer support for Vector test solutions.
• Collaborate with the project teams in a global organization to meet customer needs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of experience in vehicle networking, test systems, measurement and circuit technology
• 2+ years experience in test automation for automotive ECU testing.
• Programming experience in C/C++/C# is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Ability to work in a team environment with a sense of urgency to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as necessary (typically .  

• B.S. in EE/SE/CE/CS or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
