F&I Training Specialist:

Under the general direction (remotely) of Team Leader, the F&I Trainer (FIT)works to schedule and facilitate F&I products training at new car dealerships. The FIT works with a comprehensive knowledge of a portfolio of F&I products, process creation and installation, following a proven development training program, vision and mission statements, as well as assigned training priorities to conduct in-dealership training and development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts training courses in accordance with performance standards.

  • Follows proven training strategy and delivers it consistently

  • Responsible for protection product training in specific dealerships, in assigned territory or as dispatched

  • Primary focus of this position is presenting and teaching interview menu, process, script and method

  • Conducts training for members of the wholesale organization, as directed

  • Submits rosters, expense reports, and activity reports, in accordance with company policies.

  • Creates contact reports

  • Works with assigned personnel to develop training schedules.

  • Conducts Special Training assignments as required.

  • Monitors dealership performance and follows up as needed

  • Provide ongoing (phone & live) counseling and coaching as needed

  • Maintains communication with management as well as assigned contact personnel

  • Builds and maintains relationships with OEM field staff

  • Possess a sense of urgency in completing tasks

  • Performs administrative duties in a timely manner

  • Maintains professional ethics at all times

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Retail automotive experience with substantial F&I experience

  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of in-dealership F&I departments

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

  • Computer literacy, experience with MS Word, Power Point and Excel

  • Previous training/consulting experience a plus

  • Organizational skills for proactively developing training schedules and dealer visits

  • Must be able to satisfy requirements for pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle records check.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Home office based with 90% travel, fast paced environment

Travel will include overnight travel required with combination of driving/flying within the territory
