FHA Associate Transaction Coordinator

Position Summary

Reporting to specific originators, under overall direction of Managing Director, the Associate will work side-by-side with seasoned professionals on a substantial volume of transactions. The Associate will work on live transactions as they move from origination to closing and interact with a wide range of industry participants.

Essential Job Functions

  • Run point on all communication regarding third party report engagement process with vendors on FHA transactions.

  • Work directly with screening & underwriting in determining vendor selection.

  • Obtain Third Party Quotes on engaged deals.

  • Prepare Third Party Engagement Letters.

  • Prepare "draft" Client Engagement Letters working directly with originations & underwriting.

  • Prepare and maintain "Third Party Status Report".

  • Prepare and maintain "FHA Approved Vendor List".

  • Prepare and maintain "Pipeline Report" of deals in Screening, Underwriting, and Closing

  • Assist with annual FHA compliance.

  • Assist with annual MAP/LEAN audit.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal FHA underwriting and sales staffs.

  • Participate in ongoing training.

  • Attend regular and ad hoc meetings as required.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or applicable field required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Two to three years of real estate and/or finance experience.

  • Understanding of multifamily rental property asset class.

  • Working knowledge of affordable housing finance, deal structuring, LIHTC or bond financing preferred.

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications. Advanced excel and financial modeling skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships both internally and externally.

  • Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team.

Other Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be detail oriented and possess good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints. Ability to succinctly and accurately present information to other employees and executive level management. Good writing ability.

You'll guide us in taking next generation trends of value and making them a reality. The Role * Build out our user experience and customer journey maps for Transaction Banking products * Continually research and evaluate relevant market, industry and landscape trends to identify potential user experience enhancements * Develop our research function that will help teams to define, guide and analyze client research that guides us to break-through opportunities * Monitor the competitor space for signs of innovation and proactively facilitate conversations at senior levels on the opportunity of advancing our digital presence and experience * Coordinate with partner teams (Securities and Asset Management) to share learnings and identify areas of synergy * Design, facilitate and analyze workshops to effectively and efficiently align on experiential concepts * Collaborate with functional SMEs (technology, legal, finance, banking) to articulate business impact, level of effort and cost/benefit of identified user experience opportunities * Concept, prototype and test prioritized opportunities with support when and as necessary (technology, research, etc.) * Regularly share relevant trends with the larger partnership team to help keep us sharp and providing maximum value to our partners and customers * As needed lean into current release design work to guide successful implementation Basic Qualifications * At least 8 years of professional experience designing digital products * Omnichannel B2B experience * Experience in design thinking/ human centered design * Demonstrated experience building relationships and influencing at the executive level * A proven track record of defining and promoting change and innovation * Great presentation, workshop and communication skills * Strong problem-solving and organization skills * A positive, constructive can-do attitude * The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and to both lead and do * An obsession with digital trends and design * Strong familiarity with data, analytics and technology (both front and back-end) * The ability to translate concepts into initiatives and roadmaps * A clean design aesthetic and the ability to simplify the complex by bringing a consumer grade experience to corporate banking * Payments, Liquidity and Treasury Management experience a plus Preferred Qualifications * At least 3 years of experience managing a team of designers * Master's Degree RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS INVESTMENT BANKING Our division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today.
