The nationally leading provider of Facility Services is seeking a Facilities FFE Project Manager to work with an on-site group responsible for coordinating and planning Corporate Relocations, Space Design, Event Planning and Procurement of all FFE (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) for Austin clients, including remote support for client North American Facilities

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage building and office relocations, restorations, space design, cubicle reconfigurations and major events.

  • Manage procurement of FFE items including: furniture (FS and Modular), signage, ergonomic, AV and Telecom items.

  • Manage projects from initiation through delivery to include generating schedules and resource plans, monitoring progress, managing change control, managing risks and issues.

  • Conduct weekly meetings with clients and subcontractors to review updates to schedules and plans.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the project team of architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors and field personnel through every phase of the project.

  • Procure and manage project subcontractors and equipment vendors including telecom, electrical and IT groups.

  • Processes project documents and provides oversight on the day-to-day activities of assigned projects.

  • Works independently following general functional guidelines and performs ancillary duties as required.

  • Ensure contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications conform to project requirements.

  • Formalizes final acceptance for the project by ensuring that the delivered products and services comply with the agreed deliverables list, agreed scope, and organizational procedure.

  • Inspect the jobsite on a regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety.

  • Comply with local building codes and laws.

  • Able to troubleshoot and problem solve in a manner that keeps the project moving forward with little impact on budget or time.

  • Issue purchase orders and contracts for multiple vendors and subcontractors per project. Effectively purchase materials, equipment and subcontracts and

maintain on-going controls and records.

Follow-up on any required warranty work and maintain contact with owner to insure customer satisfaction.

  • Provide support to the Corporate Real Estate Group as required.

  • Maintain current database of Corporate Facilities Standards.

  • Manage vendor contracts and re-negotiate/re-bid as required.

  • Provide customer with recommendations on new products and services as needed.

  • Provide occasional Facilities hotline support

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum (5) years in the space or furniture design business, working as a project manager or designer

  • Knowledge of Modular Furniture Systems required.

  • Experience with planning and implementing corporate relocations required

  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks at once

  • Strong customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills required

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and comprehensive background check

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.
