Federal Work Study - Media Innovation Center - Film Studies

Job Summary

Preform various duties related to Film Studies and Humanities area.

Must be a current GHC student and must be Financial Aid eligible

Responsibilities

• Produce media for and Film Studies and other Humanities associated endeavors

• Organize and maintain video production equipment in the Media Innovation Center

• Assist in communications and planning of events

• Administrative duties and record keeping

• Communicate with filmmakers and community partners

• Recruit and organize student volunteers for events

• Create and manage social media assets

• Support the operations of events related to Humanities such as the Rome International Film Festival and GHC's Writing Conference.

Required Qualifications

• Experience sufficient in administrative duties, verbal and written communications, event planning and support, various levels of media production.

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated

• Must be Pell Grant eligible (FAFSA)

• Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

• Must have an unmet need based on total cost of attendance of student

• Must be current GHC Student

Proposed Salary

$10 per hour

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Preferred experience in communications and planning, video production, and general office administrative skills

• Video Editing

• Knowledge of Word Processing and Spreadsheet software, ability to communicate on various digital platforms.

• Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions

• Skill in oral and written communication
