You are:

A Junior Accounting and Reporting Analyst who will support the AFS General Accounting function within the Controllership organization. You are responsible for performing various intercompany and general ledger activities.

The work:

  • Prepare cost transfer entries and related account reconciliations and analysis and resolve any discrepancies

  • Participate in monthly consolidated close, including extended work hours during close to meet deadlines

  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP

  • Document and monitor internal controls

  • Communicate with cross-functional teams within AFS and Accenture to perform operational accounting duties

  • Ensure compliance with AFS policies, US GAAP, and Federal cost compliance rules.

  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects, as required


Here's what you need:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Strong Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Work, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to work independently and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Accounting systems

  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels (written and verbal)

  • Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills

  • Willingness to learn new skills and embrace changes in business operations

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
