You are:

The Federal

  • Middleware/WebMethods Development Consultant is responsible for the technical design, coding and unit testing of the software technology within a middleware application. The Middleware Development Consultant will be involved in maintenance, enhancement and/or development of interfaces between SAP modules and external interface partners taking into consideration the client technology roadmap. This position will work closely with the Accenture Supervisor and the Client Service Team Manager.

Here's what you need:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) OR Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree OR 4 years relevant SAP/Web Design experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Middleware/Process Integration/Application Programming Interface

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the system development life cycle covering all project phases of the system development life cycle

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with MS Office Suite

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of the following:

Methods version 10.3 or higher

  • web

Methods Trading Networks

  • my web

Methods server (MWS)

  • web

Methods Designer

  • Understanding of web

Methods Integration server

  • Understanding of UNIX file systems

  • Protocols and network connectivity

  • Experience working with SOAP/JSON protocols

  • US Federal Government IT experience

  • Exposure to Systems Life cycle Methodology (Waterfall/Agile)

  • Prior IT Production Support experience

  • Java development experience

  • SAP experience


  • US Citizen (no dual citizenship);Must be local to Mechanicsburg, PA area or willing to travel at least 50%

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.

The incumbent is responsible for completion of annual provider contracting activities and ongoing contract management activities. Works regularly with senior leadership both within Highmark and with the provider on negotiations and other initiatives directed at building strategic relationships in alignment with our Living Health strategy. This role is primarily focused externally (negotiations, etc.) but also acts a subject matter expert (SME) for internal projects, etc. Essential Job Functions: * Lead negotiation of assigned mid-sized and large hospitals and health systems reimbursement and contractual terms. Represent Highmark external during such negotiations, with additional support as needed. Development and execution of work plans and strategy for assigned provider contracts. * Execute Highmark provider contracting strategy related to hospital reimbursement and contracting. This includes contract standardization, internal cost savings efforts, and ongoing attention to unit cost trends. * Primary Highmark contact, and/or relationship owner for assigned hospitals. Support Director, Vice President, and other members of senior leadership for any activities related to assigned hospital providers. * Responsible for end-to-end provider contract administration and maintenance for assigned hospital providers. Work with internal team members and other areas of Highmark to effectively negotiate and implement provider agreements. * Mentor a team of Provider Contract Consultants and Analysts in the development and assessment of pricing proposals and provider profile information for contract negotiations. * Support Provider Contracting departmental activities and initiatives including process improvement efforts as needed. * Other duties as assigned.
