Position Description:

CGI is hiring for a Federal Financials/USSGL Analyst. *MUST have Momentum Financials experience.

  • Candidates will join the team assisting with a variety of Momentum Financials related initiatives. This program will retire the agency's existing legacy system and replace it with iFAMS/Momentum. We take an innovative and collaborative approach to supporting our client, working in an agile environment using emerging technologies. You will be interacting with a dynamic team of people, with opportunities to learn and grow as you help deliver the overall solution to our client.

This role with work with key GL client staff to support and help define the USSGL structure, and configuration of necessary External Reporting components, such as GTAS, CARS, Data Act and Financial Statement. Initial scope of work is provide recommendations on USSGL structure within the ERP based on prior experience as well as knowledge of federal regulations. Also includes providing overviews of how Momentum supports external reporting such that initial configuration decisions will support successful outcomes during actual configuration of external reporting.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Defining required posting models and external reporting configuration. Coordinate with and support the definition of the agencies Accounting Code Structure.

  • Solicit, document and refine requirements for General Ledger, External Reports and related Momentum functionality

  • Recommend, document and execute configurations to meet the defined requirements.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements and opportunities for the client to leverage additional functionality where applicable.

  • Support design, development, and testing of the conversion specifically to include the accounting impacts and reconciliation.

  • Maintain current with applicable rules, regulations and guidance, assess impacts to the client and the migration, and recommend changes through the defined change management process.

  • Other duties as assigned in support of the migration or other related projects such as production support, upgrades, etc.

  • Interact with senior government clients.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • MUST have Momentum Financials experience

  • 6+ years in working with federal solutions and USSGL.

  • Extensive knowledge of the federal financial regulations, processes, directives, instructions, and program guidance documents; CGFM, CPA or equivalent preferred

  • Experience with GTAS, Data Act, and other federal reporting requirements.

  • Prior experience in implementing a federal financial system for an agency

  • Problem solver along with ability to multi task

  • Prior consulting experience in any of the following areas:

o Business process improvement,

o Budgeting and Financial policies and procedures,

o System integrations

  • Work independently and across many initiatives at once

  • Proven client management skills

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Experience in requirements gathering and BPR analysis

  • Experience with Momentum Financials/Accounting/Budget

  • Due to the nature of this contract, US Citizenship is required
