Federal DOD Cloud Service Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Federal DOD Cloud Services Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in pursuing opportunities within the federal government sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and a proven track record of successfully driving business growth within the federal government space. This remote role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of both government procurement processes and cloud computing solutions. We are open to candidates with either Department of Defense (DoD) or Civilian experience in Cloud Managed Services. Remote position. Must be located in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market analysis to identify potential federal government opportunities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate the federal market and achieve growth

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in federal agencies

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including contracts, RFPs, and RFIs

• Lead the development of high-quality proposals in response to government solicitations

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners and government agencies

• Collaborate with internal teams to support successful delivery of cloud solutions

• Stay current on relevant regulations, policies, and standards

• Prepare regular reports on business development activities and performance metrics

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of experience in business development (consulting sales preferred), focused on cloud tech and federal government

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth

• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and relevant regulations

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders

• Analytical and strategic thinking skills to identify market trends and opportunities

• Experience in developing and negotiating government contracts and agreements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high initiative and self-motivation

• Relevant certifications (e.g., OCI, AWS, Microsoft Azure) are a plus

• Travel to clients in DC, VA, MD
