Dewberry is currently seeking a Federal Capture Manager focusing on large, complex federal pursuit/proposal efforts. This position requires a marketing and federal background in the management consulting and A/E businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a range of federal proposal types, including: SF330s, SF33s/best value, technical proposals, business proposals, task order submissions, qualification packages and oral presentations

  • Work with business development and operations personnel to help assemble federal pursuit teams and develop branded, compliant proposals in the federal marketplace

  • Lead strategic capture efforts throughout the sales lifecycle, including: develop customer intimacy, shape opportunities; analyze competitive landscape; messaging and win theme development; support and/or lead solution development; advise regarding strategic teaming partners; schedule development and review; proposal/technical writing and editing; ensure compliance; presentation review and interview support; conduct debriefs; and proposal closeout/updates to CRM system.

  • Identify and qualify opportunities throughout the federal market

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop Federal market sector plans to support Dewberry's long-term business strategy

  • Conduct competitive assessments on specific opportunities, make recommendations on teaming partners and help build the federal opportunity pipeline

  • Support execution of federal marketing campaigns, including internal and external communications and federally-focused conferences

  • Write supporting sales materials, including project descriptions, resumes, service line overviews, executive summaries, etc.

  • Track and trend quality of individual performance, products and services in order to strive for continuous improvement in support of the federal team and Dewberry as a whole

  • Must be able to manage multiple capture efforts simultaneously

  • Consistent knowledge/data management within company CRM database

  • This position reports to the Federal Marketing Manager

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • A.S. or B.S. in Liberal Arts or equivalent experience required.

  • At least 5 years of experience personally leading/producing proposals and managing proposal efforts.

  • Extensive experience with federal SF 330 and SF33s/best value proposals, in addition to other state/local formats within the AE industry.

  • Extensive MS Word, PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign experience. Other graphics software and CRM database experience is also desired.

  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.

  • Effective and efficient project management skills, including planning, organization, problem identification and resolution, time and resource management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and prior experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Shipley / APMP Best Practices training and/or certification

What you will do As a Supplier Controls Manager, you will be responsible for leading Supplier Controls activities and process improvement initiatives within the Stryker Spine franchise. You will work closely with local, divisional and corporate stakeholders in the development of Supplier Controls systems, tools, policies and procedures, ensuring that they are fully understood and implemented. You will also be responsible for the development, revision, maintenance and inactivation of procedures ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines for purchasing controls and supplier management. Additionally, you will implement strategy for supplier controls, procurement and strategic sourcing processes and procedures in coordination supplier quality teams and the corporate supplier controls team. Specific responsibilities include: * Develop and monitor reports for the selection, evaluation, and removal of suppliers from the approved supplier list in order to assure the quality and reliability of products * Provide input and evaluation of potential acquisition targets regarding purchasing controls and supplier assessment gap analysis and provide planning for supplier base integration * Partner with supplier quality, strategic sourcing, and divisional leads across spine franchise sites to lead and implement consistent global supplier management, procurement and strategic sourcing processes and procedures * Support companywide initiatives to develop and implement systems to ensure our suppliers follow ethical and environmentally sustainable practices to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines and procedures * Lead and/or support development and implementation of processes to build a best in class supplier controls organization * Lead annual supplier risk assessment review * Support companywide initiatives to develop and implement data and support systems to provide visibility into Stryker's global supply chain to enable global decision making and performance monitoring * Work with site and divisional counterparts to complete corporate purchasing controls CAPAs * Support third party inspections (FDA, Notified Bodies, etc.) and Stryker corporate quality system audits; may participate in supplier audits * Provide input for management review and monthly metrics reporting What you need * A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience OR a Master's degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required for this role * Lead Auditor, PMP or supply chain and/or medical device quality certification preferred * In- depth knowledge of supplier quality agreements (QAA) and Supplier Change Control Agreements (CCA) * Experience integrating best practices to achieve quality/continuous improvements * Experience developing and implementing quality management systems, particularly with respect to purchasing/supplier controls and supplier quality assessment/supplier development activities in a regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, automotive, etc.) * Supplier Audit experience in quality system standards: FDA QSR, ISO3485 and ISO9001 preferred * Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems * Financial and strategic analysis and negotiation skills required; commercial contract knowledge preferred * General understanding of basic engineering and applied statistical analysis desired * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment * Excellent communication, presentation and partnership skills and ability to communicate well to all levels within the organization * Ability to build relationships and influence across multiple functions and levels both internally and externally Work From Home: No Travel Percentage: 20% Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
