The SAP Application Developer is responsible for technical analysis, design, coding, debugging/troubleshooting, and testing of RICEF components. The SAP Application Developer is involved in maintenance, enhancement and/or development work application modules and interfaces with other applications. The SAP Application Developer has a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported. The SAP Application Developer is required to participate in pager/on-call support. The SAP Application Developer will estimate software development cost and schedule.

  • Work with Client, Accenture, and Teaming Partner team members and executives on and across the project team.

  • Plan and execute all required process steps as defined in our.

  • Provide SAP application development support in a timely manner and client methodologies.

  • Analyze, design, code and test break/fix requests and enhancements to SAP modules.

  • Work with Client, Accenture, and Teaming Partner team members to gather and interpret functional user/system requirements into technical design specifications.

  • Develop technical system specifications for SAP components.

  • Design SAP components to technical programming standards.

  • Provide support toward installation of application releases into production as directed.

  • Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews / walkthroughs.

  • Create operational documentation.

  • Perform system, interface, and batch monitoring as required.

  • Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and proactively provide work status.

  • Continuously develop industry knowledge and associated skills.

Schindler Elevator Corporation currently has a need for an SAP Variant Configurator. In this role, the selected candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for the definition; Implementation and maintenance of SAP based configurators. * The primary function of the position is to create and maintain the tools required by the entire Schindler value chain to deliver quality products. * The SAP Variant Configurator team will interface and work closely with Program Management, Development Engineering, Application Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and the Logistics Centers to build a series of SAP based configuration files required to support the growing business. * In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for the optimization of SAP functionality to support the offer and order processing. * An Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering background would be ideal; however, we will consider software developers with elevator knowledge. In performing this function, it is necessary to: * Test & document solutions * Authorize and communicate releases * Provide direction and feedback for an efficient manufacturing shop floor system. * Maintain good communication channels with R&D, Application Engineering, Corporate Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, and Logistics Centers teams. * Actively participate in new product creation review process. Other duties will include: * Manage Configurable Materials, Routings, BOMs, and Product Logic in SAP Variant Configurator (SAP ECC 6.0) * Create and maintain SuperBOMs and product data to match product features, sales, manufacturing needs, and the change control process. * Create characteristics, class, configuration profiles, Super BOMs and Super Task lists, object dependencies, Configurable materials, Configurable dimensions, material variants, and material variant costing. * Create tables and constraints for different combinations and restrictions of the product as per customers' requirements. * Thorough understanding of SAP material master (MM) data * Assure that all information in the Variant Configurator aligns with information in engineering documentation. * Implement all new, made-to-order product data in the Configurator working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Corporate Purchasing, Product Management, and Customer service team. Respond immediately to manufacturing line needs as well as ensuring day-to-day operational data accuracy is maintained by working closely with Production Scheduling team. * Support all changes to product lines that involve configurable products * Consult on inventory balancing efforts where variably sized or variably selected components are driven by the Configurator. * Guide personnel in establishing variable pricing for configured product.
