The SAP Application Developer is responsible for technical analysis, design, coding, debugging/troubleshooting, and testing of RICEF components. The SAP Application Developer is involved in maintenance, enhancement and/or development work application modules and interfaces with other applications. The SAP Application Developer has a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported. The SAP Application Developer is required to participate in pager/on-call support. The SAP Application Developer will estimate software development cost and schedule.

  • Work with Client, Accenture, and Teaming Partner team members and executives on and across the project team.

  • Plan and execute all required process steps as defined in our.

  • Provide SAP application development support in a timely manner and client methodologies.

  • Analyze, design, code and test break/fix requests and enhancements to SAP modules.

  • Work with Client, Accenture, and Teaming Partner team members to gather and interpret functional user/system requirements into technical design specifications.

  • Develop technical system specifications for SAP components.

  • Design SAP components to technical programming standards.

  • Provide support toward installation of application releases into production as directed.

  • Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews / walkthroughs.

  • Create operational documentation.

  • Perform system, interface, and batch monitoring as required.

  • Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and proactively provide work status.

  • Continuously develop industry knowledge and associated skills.

Information about the Office: The Health Information Office develops, implements, and maintains the Department's Health Information Technology (Health IT) and related Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, while coordinating with the Governor's Office of Information Technology and other stakeholders on HIT and IT projects that impact the Department.? Major responsibilities of the Health Information Office include enhancing and maintaining the Department's health care claims payment system (Medicaid Management Information System or MMIS) and client eligibility system (Colorado Benefits Management System or CBMS) by developing requirements documentation, reviewing detailed system design approaches, proposing systems solutions to program staff and implementing systems solutions to support Department initiatives.? In addition to aligning the Department's infrastructure, this Office creates a foundation for emerging Health IT solutions that will be necessary to implement the Department's transformational vision for the future of Medicaid. The Decision Support Systems (DSS) Section is primarily focused on implementing a Medicaid data infrastructure which supports strategic uses of Colorado health data. This unit manages existing business intelligence and data management (BIDM) vendors, as well as consults on the procurement of new contracts by the Department to provide data and analytics. The unit serves as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders outside the Department regarding data integration and interoperability, including entities such as: the State Office of Information Technology (OIT), the Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC), Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO), and the Quality Health Network (QHN), among others. In addition, the Decisions Support Systems Section utilizes its technical expertise to evaluate data elements and methods for innovative reform efforts such as the Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC). This section plays an important role in working toward the Department's mission to improve access to cost-effective, quality health care services for Coloradans. Description of Job This position exists to ensure that Colorado Medicaid federal reporting and associated system interfaces operate with accurate and timely data. Under supervision, this position works with Department customers, technical assistance contractors and the Business Intelligence and Data Management (BIDM) contractor to gather and compile business requirements for new system reports or reporting enhancements. Position will be expected to learn how Medicaid program operations are translated into system functionality. Position documents all processes and maintains documentation on shared system resource(s). This position works closely with the BIDM contractor on project management, acceptance testing and implementation of new enhancements according to reporting guidelines, as well as issue resolution and troubleshooting where necessary. As directed by supervisor, position provides regular updates and technical expertise to the Department, including Health Information Office (HIO) leadership.
