Pay range is $22.405 - $33.028 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
Job Duties:
Manage approximately $30 Million per year in federal and state grant funds, as well as state loans, for Nebraska airports.
Maintain individual airport financial files.
Review invoices and other requests for grant reimbursement, verify accuracy and eligibility, create statements, and forward them to airports for approval.
Upon receipt of airport approval, submit Statements to Aeronautics' accounting for payment.
Draw federal funds down from the federal DELPHI payment system.
At project completion, prepare all financial documents and obtain airport documentation to close the grant.
Communicate effectively with co-workers, airports, consultants, contractors, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Mathematical accuracy as well as logical analytical thinking is critical to success in this position.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or other appropriate curriculum, plus two years of significantly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with financial software and Excel spreadsheets.
Demonstrated experience in communication and financial analysis.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Knowledge of: theory and practice of accounting principles, practices, methods, and procedures.
Ability to: comprehend and follow complex and technical procedures; to communicate effectively; to make relatively difficult mathematical computations; to analyze financial transactions.
