Pay range is $22.405 - $33.028 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.

Job Duties:

  • Manage approximately $30 Million per year in federal and state grant funds, as well as state loans, for Nebraska airports.

  • Maintain individual airport financial files.

  • Review invoices and other requests for grant reimbursement, verify accuracy and eligibility, create statements, and forward them to airports for approval.

  • Upon receipt of airport approval, submit Statements to Aeronautics' accounting for payment.

  • Draw federal funds down from the federal DELPHI payment system.

  • At project completion, prepare all financial documents and obtain airport documentation to close the grant.

  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, airports, consultants, contractors, and the Federal Aviation Administration.

  • Mathematical accuracy as well as logical analytical thinking is critical to success in this position.

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or other appropriate curriculum, plus two years of significantly related work experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial software and Excel spreadsheets.

  • Demonstrated experience in communication and financial analysis.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of: theory and practice of accounting principles, practices, methods, and procedures.

  • Ability to: comprehend and follow complex and technical procedures; to communicate effectively; to make relatively difficult mathematical computations; to analyze financial transactions.
